Our mission is to provide a fun and educational environment where the children can learn, grow, and improve on their life and skating skills. So please consider joining our newest program and let your child be challenged in an affordable, safe, and enjoyable summer camp.

We welcome skaters of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced. The Atlantic City Figure Skating Club offers the opportunity to make great friends and have fun. Yearly, we present Spring and Winter ice shows, march in the Miss New Jersey Parade in Ocean City, celebrate our skaters' accomplishments at our summer party and awards banquet, coordinate group trips to shows like Stars on Ice, and host and participate in US figure skating sanctioned competitions. Our professional instructors are all certified by US Figure Skating. We participate in US Figure Skating competitions on all levels of freestyle, moves in the field, pairs and ice dance skating.

What is figure skating?

Figure skating is a general term that covers not just singles free skating, but pairs skating, ice dancing and synchronized skating.  It is also a sport in which people of ALL ages can enjoy.  There are different levels of testing that range from the elementary level known as the Pre-Preliminary test up through the Gold tests, which are the highest test levels you may reach.  Each test is different and skated in front of a panel of Official Judges. These tests not only challenge you to progress, but are also used as a basis for levels in which a skater may compete.

Different areas of testing include:

  • Singles Free Skating
  • Pairs Free Skating
  • Ice Dancing
  • Moves in the Field
  • Figures (which are no longer required, but can still be tested)

US Figure Skating is the pathway in which skaters may compete toward their Olympic dream, although this is only one piece of a large organization of ice skating. To learn more about what US Figure Skating has to offer please visit their website at www.usfigureskating.org.
