Kids can enjoy free ice skating and skate rental while parents learn about all of the different skating opportunities at the rink!

The Figure Skating Ice Skills Summer Camp is a camp designed for children 6 to 14 years of age. The goal of the program is to provide a week long setting where children can advance their basic skating skills in a fun and educational environment. Participants will work in a team environment both on and off the ice creating friends and making memories.
On-Ice benefits include professional coaching, one-on-one instruction, 3.5 hours daily, and the opportunity for participants to advance their USFA basic skills level.
Off-ice activities include arts & crafts, strategic games, board games, creative competitions, movies, yoga, daily walk, aerobics, kick-ball, water games, and jump rope.
Spots for this camp are limited and participants are encouraged to sign up ahead of time.

SOCHI 2014 Winter Olympics
The Colonial Skating Club of Pennsylvania was honored to be part of the 100 Days to Sochi event Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in Times Square New York. A 30 by 60 foot synthetic ice rink was set up at 47th street and Broadway for Figure Skating, Speed Skating and Hockey demos.

What is figure skating?
Figure skating is a general term that covers not just singles free skating, but pairs skating, ice dancing and synchronized skating. It is also a sport in which people of ALL ages can enjoy. There are different levels of testing that range from the elementary level known as the Pre-Preliminary test up through the Gold tests, which are the highest test levels you may reach. Each test is different and skated in front of a panel of Official Judges. These tests not only challenge you to progress, but are also used as a basis for levels in which a skater may compete.
